Dennis,Just saw that your "new" tractor was listed in our eBay forum. I noticed the deck doesn't have a rock guard. I suggest getting this type of guard for it:

It's part #1677261 and still available, but a bit pricey ($31 at Jack's). To me it's worth the $$ since it ties the front and back of the deck shell together making it a lot stronger. If you install one, make sure you beat the front edge of the deck shell out enough so that the left blade doesn't hit the guard.
