3410 Jerky, lurching drive.

I pulled the old 3-speed 3410 out of the shed the other day. It has not seen regular use since 2008. I had forgotten that it was operating a little bit jerkily. It's noticeable in all gears. If you're backing downhill you can hear it sound like something catches in the gears? I am wondering if it's in the rear axle or if there is a possibility of this being a differential problem. I drove it around in 1st gear with the fender deck raised and it did not appear that the belt was slipping and the belt is relatively new and in good condition.

17 tractors and not one clutch, sorry Chris, I dont even have lift handles, I think its my way of trying to avoid accidents, automatics and electric lifts, for me the old and groggy, lol

I had a chance to work on the Landlord again today. The BGB bolts were tight. I tried a different drive belt with no change. I jacked the tractor up and spun the rear wheels to investigate. I found the axle keys are shot at the right hand differential. I didn't get a chance to pull the diff and investigate further. I'm hoping the keyway is salvageable.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
