Fall harvest/cleanup time- Tractor uses?

I'll be sucking up leaves before long, and doing so over, and over and over.

I till a few gardens each fall to put them to bed, and like to get all my tree limb piles chipped before it snows. Seems like it rains limbs/sticks around here all summer and I just pitch them to the side before mowing.

Sucking up leaves, hauling the trailer full of whatever around the yard, pulling the spreader, and poor attempts at earth work with the spring trip blade to fill in holes from stumps I dug out.

Then she goes on full snow blower duty. I'd love a revitalizer and a tiller, but availability and funds haven't lined up yet.

In the fall I use mine to:

-mulch/suck up the leaves and dump them in the garden;

-till the leaves into the garden;

-aerate;

-overseed;

-haul the pressure washer up from the barn so that I can clean the mower deck and other summer attachments and get them ready for storage;

-haul the summer attachments down to the shed for storage;

-haul the snowblower, plow, other winter attachments, and a bunch of other winter-time stuff up from the shed to the garage;

-haul my patio furniture, grill, etc from my deck down into the shed;

-ride around the yard just for something to do.

I plan on working my revitalizer at the campsite and overseeding there as well.

There are some parts of my lawn at home that need to be slitted up and overseeded as well.

I clean up leaves in my yard at home with my 30" sweeper. I will pile leaves on my garden, shred them with my Mackissic shredder and plow them under with my Brinly plow.

Just got done tonight selective revitalizing certain parts of my yard and over seeded in anticipation of rain this weekend.

I also aerate the lawn after a rain.

I also do ENDLESS leaf vac duty. I mow/vac leaves at home & the church across the road.

The problem is the 100 acre cemetary upwind from my place :(

My fall clean up isnt done until everything has blown over to my yard for pick-up...I burn them in the garden then Till the garden under.

Then comes a long winter of "lake effect" snowfalls to plow & blow

(but I actually love it all, Great Seat Time)

I use the revitalizer and my Big 10 to dethatch and get the

ground ready to over seed before the leaves fall.

Then then it's the B-10's turn with the vac.

I dump the yard waste in the garden until I'm done with the

clean-up,Then I use the B-12 with the loader to put it in the

dump trailer to haul to the citys compost site.

We can dump free and you can haul all the ground up compost you

want free,so I have a load both directions.

The other Big 10 gets winter duty with the snow blower, I

have to do a little mod on the cab I built a couple years ago.

The B-10 then gets the blade.

      Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
