Brent_Baumer 5 Posted January 14, 2002 If it were closer I might go a little higher cause I think it is worth it. I'd be surprised if it does though. I've watched many tractors on ebay not meet the reserve (mine included shown below) unless it is really low. BTW - the TRACTOR ONLY shown below is still for sale minus the rear lift for a measly $325 or trade for a wood jointer, drill press, belly grader blade, 48" mower deck or ???? or combination thereof. Sorry for the for sale ad here. Brent http://ourworld.cs.com/Bcbaumer/7010_3_1.jpg
StinKy 0 Posted January 15, 2002 Brent, that's one great looking tractor!! How much restoring did it take to get it in the beautiful condition we see in those photos?? BTW if appearance is any measure of value you should get all your asking and more. What HP. is it? Dick
Brent_Baumer 5 Posted January 15, 2002 Thanks for your comments Dick. I have received 7 requests for more info on this tractor since I posted the above. Here's the lowdown: I only have the tractor for sale. I sold the deck to another member a couple of months ago after the tractor and deck did not sell. I also sold the rear lift along with a tiller so it is not included. I bought the tractor at the end of this past summer. It ran well but looked really bad due to alot of surface rust. I did not give much for it. I stripped the sheet metal down to the metal and primed and painted. I did NOT disassemble the tractor other than the sheet metal and did NOT paint the underside or inside of the frame. Only what you can "see". I also put a new seat cushion on it. The decals are copies made from photographs and using judgement. In short, the tractor has NOT been restored but rather "refurbished", but still spent about 2 hours a night, 4-5 nights a week on it for about 3-4 weeks (don't remember now for sure). It is a 1975 Sim. 7010 with the original (from what I can tell) 10hp Briggs. It runs fine BUT does leak a small amount of oil I THINK from the rear seal. I has a 3 speed manual tranny that is in good working order. The gearbox works fine. I'm located in east-central Indiana about half-way between Richmond and Muncie. I'm selling it because it is not powerful enough to drive a 48" mower deck and pull my 60" trail mower at the same time and 1st gear can be a little fast for tilling. Also, I'm just too used to my hydros. Brent
