Well I told myself I was not buying anymore tractors this year and I just could not help myself AGAIN!! I found this beauty while pickn at a local car swap meet here in Wisconsin. Could NOT pass it up for 150.00 dollars with all the original manuals and paper work as well as an original SEARS snowplow. This is a HI /LO tranny model 3 speed that shifts smooth as silk! Started on one turn of the S/G and runs and cuts PERFECT!1969 10XL.

Looks well worth the price, nice pick dOd Sears sold LOTS of attachments for theirs too.

I've been tempted by some of the old Sears Suburbans but I intend to stay brand loyal (mostly due to limited space) unless I find one with a Loader.sm01

Nice. The solid state ignition is worth more than the price of the tractor^. I used to have a 10XL. The "Custom" was the ligther-duty Suburban. Mine came with a snow plow and the steering gears were stripped out. They have the same Hi-Lo tranny as the Suburbans and use the same rear attachments. The Suburban tractors had a different PTO system and a heavier front axle and steering. I sold my 10Xl with a snow plow and deck for $400 about 10 years ago.

One owner tractor with all original paperwork and the snow plow with all of the mounting hardware. ... Yes, someone shown this tractor a lot of tlc over the past 40+ years..

The rubber is all original Sears tires! Pretty sweet ride. I always did like the Suburban model as well.

That last one is $150 or its going to the scrapyard!!?? I cant believe when sellers do that...Why not sell for $100 OBO or even $25 vs the scrapyard.

id="quote">I hear what you are saying Ryan! I am impressed with this lil tractor to say the least. This is by far the easiest start S/G tractor I have ever owned. I swear I could spin the flywheel a 1/4 " and it would start!!

Great save Mark!! I had a 10XL that was Mustard Colored with blade, hi-lo three speed only mine was a Tecumseh Ring Gear and Starter model....hated that starter! But ran like a top and comfortable to ride!! Those U spring seats really helped a lot!

side note, just picked up a 3210V from a scrapper that spent 30 years in a barn. Like a time capsule! Your Sears looks to have been well pampered. Again, great find buddy!

Thanks Zipp!I have ANOTHER pickn find today that blows my mind...Have you or anyone else on the site seen one of these before?? If so, I want to hear about it!! This tractor was in a package deal with two 5212 tractors, one of which is a 2 cylinder running tractor with 5 speed tranny and rear NON turbo bagger. All 3 for 250.00 A deal I could NOT pass up! One of the tractors I already parted and scraped today. The other 5212 I cut the lawn with...Ran great after a seafoam treatment.NOW FOR THE BIG SURPRISE FIND OF THE DAY!!Anyone here ever seen or heard of a DEVERE Tractor out of Racine Wisconsin??

Man this is one heavy duty tractor!! I purchased it from a family member where it had been since new in 1960.This is one heck of a tractor...10 hp kohler engine Rear tank electric start...and get this!! It never had a deck...just a sickle mower that they can.t seem to find!!:(! I would have loved to have that attachment. I did manage to get two sets of rear tires and spacers to make a dual axle setup!

I have never seen anything close to that. Incredible find! The front spring suspension is neat. I have seen that one something else but can't place what machine or brand.
