When the snowblower blows sparks

Recommended Posts

While I built rafter today my next to worse fear on this project happened, it started to snow, so I swept off a board, nailed it on, swept another and soooo on. At the end of the storm I had about 3 inches on the house roof I'm building over, couldn't figure out how to get the 112 up there and blow it off the 6-12 pitch so I used a shovel, then had a large pile in the new shop so I fired up the 112 and played for an hour and a half and cleaned the whole yard. I tried to blow some old burm a little futher back and saw sparks fling out the front of the blower, hmmmm glad I was done, drive side bearing caught a south bound. The morle of the story, if you see sparks coming out with the snow, something is most likely wrong. Time to check out the parts blower, or maybe the 3 belt..hmmmmm, would the 3 belt mount on the 1 belt hitch???It didn't LOOK like it has seen much use though I didn't look to close when I brought it home with the landlord...Shop first, my dodge is 4 wheel drive..MPH

Why are you worried about 3 little inches of snow on the roof? Or do you have to stay ahead of the game?

Because I'm building a new roof over it and adding R-38 insultion. My old roof was a "temporary" spray-foam job 15 years ago..MPH
