FOLKS

I have a 68 3112h with the delco voltage regulator (origional) that has stopped working. I am having NO luck finding a replacemant part from any of the auto parts places NAPA ect. Has anybody ran into this problem and can give me a part number echlin, delco ect.

Check on Ebay, Many of the older GM vehicles (pre alternator) used the AC-Delco V/R. Also check local salvage yards, and/or local auto electrical shops.

From a very old post try so not sure if these are valid anymore;

Do a lookup on Ace Electric VR-13914. That is supposed to be an aftermarket part.

or

Briggs number is 295924 and AC Delco is 1118988.

Be careful, the automobile regulators can go 40 to 70 amps and will burn or blow up your battery. You need a regulator with a 10 to 15 amp output.
