Changing the trans fluid

Recommended Posts

Ok I am wondering if there are any type of replacement filters out there for the spin on trans filters( 1650954SM )in the 7016. While I am thinking about it what about the 3416H filter ( 2166147SM )I have been letting the trans, engine and bevel gear box drain over the last week. Thought I had a new filter for the 7016 from my dad but it was for another one of his Simplicity tractors he uses a lot and needs the fluid changed in it. I have a fram tough guard oil filter that is the same size as the trans filter only a 1/2" taller the only other difference is where the rubber gasket is located. Going to try to get the 3416H going this week sometime.

Thank you.

Wix part#51307

Fram part # PH43

I have used both on my 7016. Fram is about $4-5, Wix About $10-12

The Fram filter is a pretty common one should be able to find at any auto parts store,Rural King, TSC, Walmart etc.

I needed a filter one Sunday evening for my AC 712H. I had a Purolator PER1A on the shelf that matched up, and fit fine. It's now been on there about 5 years or more, with no problems.

That is the same filter that many Ford products used for a lot of years as an engine oil filter.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
