k341 newly rebuilt

just replaced new piston rings and valves i seated and adjusted the valves

i run it for about half hours while mowing the was smoke pouring out the breather cover

did remove balance gears

not sure why?

any help

Did you hone the cylinder walls? The bore needs to be checked to make sure the cylinder bore is round and not oblong. If oblong or egg shaped it will need to be bored out to a larger diameter, with larger piston and rings. If the cylinder is still round, you will need to hone the glaze off the cylinder so you have a little bit of a rough surface to seat the new rings.

Do not use synthetic oil for the first 25 hours.

Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work.
