Poor mans power steering question

Recommended Posts

These are the #'s I use...came from a member here. There are other mfg#'s that cross to these sizes. I buy this size in bulk now. Enough to do 10 or so tractors and it lasts me a little while ;)

¾ ID x 1 ¼ OD

(2) Koyo # NTA-1220 needle roller bearings ¾ ID x 1 ¼ OD

(2) Koyo # TRB-1220 hard thrust washers 1/16”

(2) Koyo # TRA-1220 hard thrust washers 1/32”

I"m going to order some of these to do this mod but I see people doing it with both the upper and lower washers being 1/32" as well as 1/32" and 1/16". Does it matter, and if so, I assume the 1/16" goes on the bottom to take the weight better?

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
