917H Noise, vibration, no power M18 twin

This weekend I was finishing up leaf duty, heard an odd noise, rattle and tractor stalled out. Thought maybe a piece of rope from woodpile tarp got caught up. threw the PTO lever and restarted with little power.Started looking, found the problem with my borescope:

A quarter size hole in the block, next to the cylinder that now has no compression.Guess its time to put the crank seal in the spare and swap before snow season.I am watching the threads on engine swap/conversions though as a backup to my spare. Its always something............

I have a replacement on the shelf, got to pull the flywheel to replace the crank seal.Bought the scope when I was troubleshooting daughters Ford Escort, ended up finding a cracked flexplate.

Might actually get to use the case and parts I bought from Sam years ago, if the spare does not pan out.

Is that the typically blow out right behind the dipstick on the M18? If so this is a common problem with the KT and M twins (governor shaft). I have not personally fixed one of these engines yet but I picked up a running 7119 with a KT19 that has the block welded, and have heard of others that have fixed these engines.
