Engine Tin 300421 12hp

Recommended Posts

Hi: My grandsons and I are rebuilding our HB-112.I am somewhat concerned about the engine tin.I have never seen a picture of the 300421 engine that showed the tin.Is this all there is? The Shroud, the small extension and the round part around the cylinder?I would have thought there would have been something on the top of the head to direct air flow there. If anyone has a picture of this motor with complete tin, I'd like to see it.

Pics of the 12HP Briggs that was in an HB-112 when I got it. I believe it is original:

And why do I have these pics you ask? They were for shipping documentation when I sold the engine.

I concur with Greg, having just installed a 12HP B&S into my '69 2110 Landlord. I know the 10HP it replaced had a piece of tin over the head, that rodents liked to pack full of clutter.
