snow blower bearings

Recommended Posts

i have some bearing noise coming from my snow blower and jacks only shows they have the needle bearings for the drive shaft. does anyone have a cross reference for the auger bearings and the needle bearings. any brand part number would be great but can order timkin bearings through my work so they would be the best but i can cross numbers so its not a big deal. the snow blower is a 990345 i think... i cant find any numbers on it but its a 36" for my landlord 2010. thanks for any help.

the simplicity numbers are 2106732 for the auger. 2154258SM for the drive shaft.

This post discusses issues I had with a new snow blower, about the change in the auger bearings, and gives manufacturer part numbers:

This post has some pics of the bearings I used when I replaced the newer style:

And the auger part number you reference is wrong I believe. FDT blowers list part #106732; RBT blowers list part #173934. They both cross to the "new" style bearings part #1733105SM.

I replaced mine last year, I got them at Motion Ind.

I didn't have the number so I toke the old bearing in and

they matched it up.

I don't remember how much it cost but at the time I though

they were quit reasonable.

Thank you I didn't want to tear it apart and not have the parts since there is only 3 days in the next 10 days they aren't calling for snow... I searched the forms because I figured someone would have posted some info but it never pulled up yours or I just missed it

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
