Snowblower help

This fall I switched my snowblower to my B10 from my Bee 10 which is waiting for a 12 hp transplant. While blowing snow this winter, the belt will jump off the main auger pulley after a few minutes of use. The belt looked pretty cut and worn so I replaced it with the OEM belt (1/2" X 56"). The belt and auger turns freely by hand but with the engine running and PTO engaged, the belt won't turn and just smokes in the crank pulley. When the pto is engaged the right side idler pulleys slides down and way to the left, rubbing against the left idler pulley. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
