**NT**Floor jack repair

Recommended Posts

johnmonkey
I bought a used floor jack made by blackhawk manufacturing company in Milwaukee Wis. Has anyone heard of them I need a rubber seal for it to work. Its a 1.5 ton model #SJ-2 serial # 21338. I thought with so many members from up north that someone would know something.I looked up info on the internet but I think that blackhawk is out of business. It is very well built. Thanks in advance, John H

Seems any hydraulic shop capable of repairing cylinders should be able to source a seal for you based off of measurements.[A href='http://www.wheatfarm.com']http://www.wheatfarm.com[/a]

Blackhawk was/is one of the finest manufacturers of hydraulic tools. Just like the the garden tractor industry, there have been many buyouts, sellouts, acquisitions, etc. in the last few decades. Here’s a history of the Automotive Division of Lincoln, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pentair, Inc. and a link to one of many Blackhawk parts suppliers.

Dutch I can't thank you enough for your help on the floor jack. I went to blackhawk part on the net and they faxed me a schematic diagram of the floor jack and I'm going to order the parts tonight. I bought the jack (two of them for $5.00 each) at a yard sale it looked well made so I bought them. I gave one to my brother-in-law and kept the other. It looks like I can repair it for about $30.00. Not a bad deal for such a well made piece of equipment (from Wisconsin it looks like lots of well made equipment came out of Wisconsin!!!)Again Thanks a lot!! John H
