hard strting agco = allis 918h

Recommended Posts

I have a 1993 918h have been having problems with it starting hard for quite some time I first thought it was fuel related, so I flushed gas tank put on new fuel lines and filter even had the carb rebuilt. Still starts hard even worst since cold weather has arrived. When I try to start it without starting fluid the right side plug floods with gas immideatly, if I use a little starting fluid some times it will start before flooding right side plug. Is it possible the ignition coil for the right side is weak and allows gas to flood the plug but will start some times with starting fluid. And if I need to change the coil does that mean pulling the driveshaft and pulling everything off to remove the shroud to get to the coil

The one thing I've noticed with "modern" ethonal fuel is once you wet the spark plug it never seams to work right thereafter. Start with the simple stuff first, change spark plugs with some new gapped plugs and see if that helps.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
