B1, B10, I'm confused

Recommended Posts

I have a B1, early B10 and an early B12. The B1 has the standard wide flat seat and low backrest. The B10 has a metal pan seat covered in black with the arm rests & higher backrest. The B12 came with an aftermarket seat which I want to replace.

I thought that the metal pan seat was correct for both the B10 & B12.

Today I got my copy "Lawn & Garden Tractor" and on the cover is a late B10,triangle AC emblem, with what looks like the same seat that my B1 has. Lower back rest and wide flat seat.

Which is the correct seat for my B10 & B12?

Thanks, Bob

The B-1 seat sounds right. The B-10 seat should be like the B-1 seat but with white armests. The seat you describe on your B-10 sounds like a B-12 seat....

There is no Early or late B-12's, just a 1964/1965? "early" B-10, and the "late" 1967 B-10. The B-12 was 1967. The Big Ten was between the early and late B-10's

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
