Legacy XL Diesel

I was at my dealer this morning. He had a brand new leftover 2014 Simplicity Legacy XL Diesel 4WD with a loader he just put in the showroom. He told me that it may be his last diesel Legacy XL as his sales rep had checked with the factory earlier in the week and they only had 7 left. I believe this was discussed on here some time ago that they may discontinue the Diesel. I guess it's in the works.

Tier 4 diesel engines are now required I believe. To meet the exhaust criteria, accommodating the exhaust silencer would be next to if not impossible. Look at the newer farm tractors that are Tier 4 compliant, it looks like a 60 gallon water tank. I am not to sure but Tier 4 exhaust systems are also electronically monitored. Adds tons of money to L & G market.
