Its a sickness...weekend score.

So I literally just got my first Simplicity running, which is a 7016H late model. I was cruising through craigslist this morning, and ran across a blower with hitch for not to bad a price. Through the course of talking to him, he mentions that he would throw in a dozer blade and a running/driving tractor for a couple hundred more...well, I drove 35 miles to pick it up this evening...Its a early model 7016 with a few nice goodies. Its going to donate its perfect rear fender, tire chains, and rear lift hitch to my 7016H. I'll probably clean it up a bit and sell it on down the road with the blade...and a deck if I can locate one reasonable priced. Here are the pics.

The hood will require some welding, every seam has separated, and there is some "chicago engineering" done to it that I'll have to fix, but overall, its not in too bad of shape. How did I do for my first haul? I gave 450 for the lot.

Looks like a good score, however, I'm not sure about that blower bracket? Does not look like it is complete, or it is for another model maybe?

Well, I'm starting to think the guy I bought it from might not have known what he was talking about sm00 He told me the solenoid was shot, and needed to be started with a screwdriver...I knew it was probably a safety somewhere, but whatever. The safeties all actually work! He had the PTO engaged...OO

We'll see about that blower this summer. I'm sure I'll be picking some brains, trying to get it to work...are the numbers stamped into the housings anywhere? The tag is missing...

I'll also need a front PTO, I've got an idea to make an electric one work, and make it look stock, but a mechanical one would be ok too. I'll get something posted in the WTB section soon enough.

Hi Mike, there is a relay by the battery. Its common for the posts to rust away. Try connecting it direct to see if the key kicks it off. If so, new relay and viola!

id="quote">I actually have it starting by key already. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. The PO had the PTO engaged, so just assumed it was a bad solenoid. I have tune up parts ordered, and I've got a few nuts and bolts to replace, but she'll be good to go in short order.
