ReedS 6 Posted January 24, 2002 First I just want say thanks to Kent for this great site. My question relates to my early 60's pair of simplicities. I am wondering what the right paint should be. I did see some in my Grainger cat.(dem kote allis chalmers orange) that looked close and I am looking for suggestions anyone?
JonetteP 0 Posted January 24, 2002 Reed, I have the same question. Is a professional paint job considered the same color, or is it considered one done by a auto body mechanic? Is dem kotes allis orange close enough, or is it "Right On"
JonetteP 0 Posted January 24, 2002 Here are a couple of my prior posts regarding paint. Unfortunately, I didn't include anything from the early 60s. Here are numbers for some models, and a color match from spray cans.
powermax_paul 1 Posted January 25, 2002 All of my Simplicity Powermax tractors have gotten the AC Orange treatment. It's close enough for me. The off-white has been replaced with just plain white. It's cleaner and gives a nicer contrast in photo's. Just my 2 cents. Paul
