engine rebuild "?"

Recommended Posts

I came across this ebay engine rebuild kit. But I was wondering if this kit will work on my engine. I have the 170707 Briggs. It says it will work for 170000 model but I'm not sure if that is the one for mine I have emailed the person but get no response out of them so far, so if anyone can answer my question by the page link below please help. Kris, it depends who manufactured the kit, and what it includes. As a rule we always use briggs re-rings. They are chrome rings that stand up well. Not to say that a set of cast rings is not a good choice. We likely stock anything you need so if your not sure, e-mail us or call (507)534-2431. Thank You

Hi, If you are getting a piston, be sure it is the correct material. The pistons used in the Kool Bore aluminum cyliinders are NOT compatable with the cast Iron lined cylinders and vis-versa The plating is different, even though the engines are the same pysical dimensions. Good luck, Al Eden
