To get depth, are these like the Simplicity 38 HD tillers, in that you need to just take the shoes off and hang them on the wall?

You have got that right, Sam! There has to be a boatload of the shoes out there that look like brand new! Mine haven't been on since the first time I used the tiller and realized they had to go.

Those Shoes must be like the Mower Deck Chutes (and some deck belt covers)...if you can find them.

They would make more sense if you could set them very deep as a "max depth gauge"
