briggs 16hp carb settings

Hey just wondering what the stock carb settings are on a 16hp briggs. There's a main jet on bottom and another mixture screw on top. I rebuilt the carb and put them the same spot they were at and it runs but only with a little choke. If full choke it'll die if no choke it'll run for a few seconds then spit and sputter and die. It'll only run at half throttle or more. Any suggestions?

tighten them all the way in until they just set, then back them off 1 1/2 turns. That works for both of them.
