Factory Manual Start

Recommended Posts

rokon2813

Someone's post elsewhere of the manufacturers number for a manual start tractor got me thinking.

Has anyone ever seen a tractor that was original from the factory with manual start? I've seen the numbers several times, but not a tractor.

With manual start, it technically did not need battery, cables, regulator, push button, or amp meter.

There fore, the dash decal should have been different, without the printed amp meter and starter, and should not have had the holes punched for either one. ??????

Some of the Simplicity 700-725's had manual start. Also some of the 60's-70's Broadmoors had manual start. Found these pictures on Google, notice the factory plugs over the start button and the ammeter holes.
