Well my 4212.5 was up and running good and working fine. But last fall when i went to store it in the shed the battery was dead so I moved the transmission lever to disengage it and it moved fine for about 5 feet and locked up. so now it's time to fix it Any Ideas?

I don't think I will have a problem starting it once I charge the Battery, i'm just worried about transmission since it locked up and it never done that before. I pulled it to the shed with the atv last fall

Follow the linkage on the lever that disconnects the Hydro. There should be a lever that slides across a button on the bottom of the tranny. This button is the pressure relief valve and may not be fully in the in position. Work the button around a little with a little wd 40 or similar product and be sure the button is not stuck part way in or out. Use a pliers and gently pull the button into the out position and then after you spray it with lubricant push the button back fully in and see if this solves your issue.

Best of luck
