RayS 79 Posted April 16, 2015 Ric, here is the parts manual. http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/heCBEN8aqIZrE3CG.5kbp796Dq.pdf you can get the new part numbers at jacks small engine by typing in the old number. http://www.jackssmallengines.com/searchdb2.cfm
sdhdcouple 0 Posted April 23, 2015 I just noticed the parts manual you posted a link to is for a simplicity 725 & 700 I have an allis Chalmers 712S, is that a different parts manual? BGB looks the same except for 1 bearing.
rokon2813 272 Posted April 23, 2015 Should NOT be the same for the 712. The pictures probably look pretty close, but shaft sizes are different, as well as the center holes in the gears for the larger shafts, and different bearings too. If I'm not mistaken, your cross shaft should be longer, and threaded on both ends too.
RayS 79 Posted April 23, 2015 Sorry about that. Nothing is the same in that manual as on the 700 series. I overlooked "series" and thought 700 model.
PhanDad 3,616 Posted April 23, 2015 From AC 710, 712S, 712H, 716H Parts Manual: I have the electronic version of this parts manual and also a Word Document that cross references the Simplicity part #'s. If you want a copy of either, PM me with your email addie and I'll send you them. Also, the Simplicity 7013S is a close match to the AC 712S; it's mfg # is 1690015. That parts manual should be available on the Briggs manual site.
