Simplicity model W walker

Recommended Posts

Dan: I have one just like it in my collection. Actually I was introduced to the walker from my father in law who has a W also. I picked mine up at an auction a couple of years ago for around $200.00. It had a rototiller attachment too but it was froze up. I did have to end up putting on another tiller but use it all the time in my garden. I really like the weight of the tractor because it does not bounce around in the garden. I would suggest that you get a front weight of it if you do buy. That really does help a lot when rototilling. Do not let the walk behind fool you, it is a full blown tractor in my opinion. As a matter of fact my father in law tells me that he has heard of people using them on small farms as their main tractor in other countries. I believe the W is the largest walk behind that Simplicity made. There are many, many attachments that you can get for the walkers. If you could pick it up for 200-300 dollars I would jump at the chance. Good Luck, GR-Made

Could someone give me a pall park price as to the value of this type of walker. It's MFG.NO. is 990189 and seems to be in fairly good shape. Last used about 5 years ago. Thanks, Dan http://members.aol.com/bohndm/tractor/simplicity/walker/walker_w.jpg

Don't what to tell you for price Dan, looks to complete but looks like she leaks oil a lot. But thanks for the close-up photo, I bought some orange iron, handle bars, a tranny and a tiller on an auction about 3 years ago cuz it was the same orange as my 725 for 5 buck. Cuz of this site I figured out I had pieces of a Model W but have never seen one so close. Used the tiller on my 725. If I was close Id give you the handle cause thier in nice shape..good luck.MPH
