Front wheel sealed tapper bearing/cross reference

Recommended Posts

Working on installing trust bearings/washers for ease of steering on my A/C 917 Hydro and have a few questions or suggestions from other people on the front wheel bearings.

Does anyone have info on a Simplicity p/n to Timken bearing p/n? The parts book indicates p/n 154486 and on jack's it shows it superseded to p/n 2154486SM, in search of verifying what I've researched and found for the Timken bearing series p/n LM11900 (LM11949-LM11910).

Has anyone ever used a sealed tappered bearing or seals other then whats stock on the inner front wheels? stock seal p/n 170168 superseded to p/n 2170168SM or are the superseded/new seals different than what would have been stock on a A/C 917 Hydro?

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
