Simplicity Quick Pins - Rest in Peace

It appears the legendary Simplicity "quick pins" are no longer manufactured by Briggs & Stratton parts. The original Simplicity part number was 176012, and more recently 2176012.

Im not sure I follow....the pins pictured have been used for years by Simplicity. Are we saying they are gone now, or that they are new-fangled?

I don't even remember those as the "original". I recall the "bobby pin" type growing up with them. I even like them better. These can be a pain to get undone at times.

  • 3 weeks later...

While 'hairpins' as we called them, will work. THe OEM pins are more secure... that's why they're more difficult to remove.

Guess I'll be EXTRA careful not to lose mine.

F&F and RK? We must be from the same part of the country.

F&F is my favorite clothing store. Too bad they don't have groceries.
