Mom's early B10

Recommended Posts

I just picked this up from my Mom's garage. She just turned 80 and decided she's not mowing her own lawn any more. She hired a lawn svc and gave me her B10.My Dad found this is a barn about 20 years ago. Cleaned it up, made a grill for it (was damaged) and got it running. She has been mowing with it since he died 8 yrs ago. He rigged the grass catcher on the back. I dont really want it but...the tractor is a keeper for sure sm01

I made this mower boot for him years ago when he was rigging up his grass catcher. I think I can use it with a vac system too

Anyway this is my 1st early B10 so I'm glad to have it. Plus being a gift from Mom..? ^

wonderful story Greg! Always nice to have a family tractor. I'm not much for a custom mods but cannot seem to change a thing that my grandfather did to his B110.

just a touch of charm and ingenuity to remember those old guys by. ;)

Great tractor and story. Make sure to take some working photos of it to remember some of the working history behind it. Would have loved to see mom get after the grass with that.

John she is in pretty good shape for 80. But watching her getting on & off was the funny part :D However with each passing year, I'm not as graceful as I was...sm00

Thanks guys for the kind replies.

I think Josh nailed it. I'm gonna leave it with my Dad's grill mods because that was "him"...[Why buy something if you can make it from stuff you have at home].

So that grill will always remind me of him. sm01

Wow Greg, cool story behind this one. Complete with a spinner knob & chrome looking shifter too.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
