It appears that Simplicity still holds the tooling rights for 1685505SM,about $140- at Jack's, updated from 170456 and I haven't seen anyone step to offer a cheaper replacement.

Is there Kohler mufflers for the 7100 series available! K341 and 301

id="quote">My guess is no. Each GT OEM has a different thought on how they want to silence engine noise and direct exhaust flow. Engine people with give the tractor people exhaust data and the tractor people go to the muffler people with their drawings and thoughts and come up with an acceptable design. Some tractor people will send a sample production tractor to the muffler people where tests sound damping and engineering data from engine is collected. There is a lot of work done just for a muffler.

Harley, buying an aftermarket muffler/silencer to satisfy your needs is strictly a fly by the seat of pants guess. Don't ask a parts guy what the DB rating for a muffler at 50' is as he will give you a blank stare with each eye looking at the bridge of his nose. At the time your tractor was built, it satisfied any current noise dampening requirements of the time which weren't many.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
