Recommended Posts

I have a 3314 V and I got it without keys. I bought some online but the key does not turn either right or left. I put WD40 in key hole but still no turn. Do i need different key or replace module ? Appreciate any replies.

That should be correct key for that switch.

Part cost about 35 or so.

Just make sure your getting a switch that's for your engine. I was sold a brigs switch for a Kohler engine and that won't work either. I've also picked up a tractor recently non running with the same issue!

The terminals on the rear of the switch are marked with letters on them. When buying a new switch be sure the locations of the terminals is exactly the same and the letters in the same location or your switch will not work. There are a large number of different switches and it is easy to get the wrong one.

Thanks for headsup on the nuances of the Letters. I was initially going for the Patent number on the module and 4 posts.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
