vc-3 what is it and where can I get it,cant put my tractor back together with out it so the manual says, thanks in advance

I don't understand that note. There are no bolts that pass directly thru any pressure areas of the Sunstrand hydrostatic transmission. Moreover, the main planetary gearbox/transmission case does not hold any pressure as it is vented at the top cover. I could see putting some kind of sealer on the bolts that fasten the final PTO drive assembly to the case so that these don't leak. Maybe you should call a Simplicity service department and ask. I'd be curious what you find out. Paul

I think VC-3 is also known as VIBRA-TITE and is made by N D Industries. If so, VC-3 is much like Loctite, and used to prevent bolts from vibrating loose.
