GrincheyOne 52 Posted July 9, 2015 That is a guard, that fastens to the front edge of the RH fender, to protect the operator's clothing from engaging the starter cup, which bolts onto the main drive/clutch pulley of the BGB.it is mutually exclusive if you have a hi-Lo,and goes MIA (Y you don;'t see many around) The one I did have wound up in the possession of Greg Pointon. "L" is your guard! The foot rests (pegs) are extensions of a one piece of steel that bolts to the underside of the frame.Wayne
MittenB10 1 Posted July 10, 2015 Excellent info - thanks guys! I'm pretty darn sure mine has that so I'm probably good. BUT, for good measure I'll take a look see this evening. Did just score a hydro lift assembly for it the other week!
Talntedmrgreen 1,978 Posted July 10, 2015 If you are using a HiLo, the HiLo (2-Speed Pulley Kit) had it's own, trimmed down version of this guard, which is tough to identify, and very scarce. Can't say I've ever seen one with a 'complete' HiLo package. Only found one, myself (thanks Dan)...easily made though.
