PatRarick 1 Posted January 30, 2002 Just three days ago, an apparently very nice Simplicity 2012 sold for $455 on e-bay. Today, an AC B-10/Landlord/?, needing repair, just sold for the same amount. The link to the mixed breed is on message #5989. Kent 436 Posted January 30, 2002 I wouldn't be surprised if the higher price was caused by the Allis-Chalmers name -- even though it appears to be a Landlord. IMO, ACs sell noticeably higher than the equivalent Simplicity -- at least here in New England. If that turns out to be the case, I'll bet there's going to be one very upset buyer when he finds that either it's not a B-10 (actually a Landlord) or it's a B-10 with the wrong grille, etc....[A href='http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=1325039328']http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=1325039328[/a]
StinKy 0 Posted January 30, 2002 As I said earlier, ebay can pose a problem if you dont get what you thought you were getting. Is there any arbitration provisions for buyers and sellers? Dick
SmilinSam 4,245 Posted February 1, 2002 The only arbitration I'm aware of is between the buyer/seller payment arrangements and the ability to "rate" each other on the ratings pages.
