PatRarick 1 Posted January 30, 2002 My A/C Big Ten has a piece of all-thread going across the front of the hood, I think it is there to help support the front of the hood because there are two brackets on the front grill for it to set in....I'm not sure if this was the original design ? Is the rod suppose to go all the way across ? or should it be two smaller bolts coming in from each side ? I cant seem to get a good look in any of the pictures. Thanks, Gene
carter 0 Posted January 30, 2002 Gene, The front latches are strips of steel with a flat coil spring between the strip and a lock nut on the end of a threaded shaft with a knob in the other end. These drop into the groove and tighten with the Knob. The knob is outside the hood and everything else is inside. The rear is the same knobs without the strips, springs, or nuts threaded into cage nuts in the cowl. Ron
