Ac 917 or Simp 7117

I was considering buying a 7117. Wasn't sure of the engine being a series II. It does have Hydro trans and lift. I would appreciate some comments on this machine. Good or bad. Trying to decide to buy or not. Thanks Jim

I had a 7117 for awhile. It ran great. Nice and smooth. I hated to part with it but I had too many tractors in the machine shed to be compatible with married life. Buy it. It is a great machine. Steve

if it runs i would consider buying it because the one that i jus traded for the 7116 was a great tractor but it jus had too many hours.

KT17 Series I = bad KT17 Series II = good Go for it!

I have 1982 7117H with Series I..... 20 years , same engine, probably well over 1000 hrs....No implosion yet...From what I have read on this site, the Series I seems to have given many a problem....So far so good here (Keep my fingers crossed, since re-powering ain't cheap....) Regardless of Series I or II, great tractor, although I would prefer a Series II with full pressure lubrication...
