Show-n-Tell your 'off-brand'?

Would it be any fun for folks to dig up a few photos of any of their off-brand tractors? I know from chatting with other members, that many of us have tractors (some are loved, some are hated) of other brands.

I'd like to see what other folks' have as workers, showpieces or paperweights. I know some guys are into big tractors, maybe they have a compact tractor, or even small engines. Pretty much anything you have or have had, that isn't typically shared on the forum.

I had this early 70's Gilson for a short time. Bought it to part it/flip it. I still have the iron Briggs, never tried to run it. Broke even on the rest of the machine - made a friend a good deal when I found out he had a similar machine and could use the parts.

I had a Murray for a while. It was a piece of junk that was always having problems. I got it as a freebie from my moms coworker who had "upgraded" to a Cub Cadet ( not very much better than the Murray). It wasn't firing on one cylinder ( the guy repowered it with a Briggs I/C 17hp opposed twin) I mowed with it one and it was bad and I mean really bad so, I traded it to a scrap yard that had my soon to be 3112H. I got my 3112 in return. Next time I'm at the yard I will get a picture of it today. It's pretty funny to just look at it and make fun of it and kick it and take sticks and hit it:DR.I.P Murray Tractorid="blue">

Angst and disappointment in this machine ("The Old Grey Mare") is what led me to Simplicitys and this site. I live in a house on 8/100 acre of land, I can cut the grass in 15 minutes with a pair of scissors. In 2011 I bought a 2-family house 1 mile from home as an investment, with 1/2 an acre of land. I love cutting grass and here's a chance to get a riding mower. But, I was in need of one fast and had no money left so I got something cheap, and I got what I paid for! Shifting gears was a battle, the cut was uneven, but it always started; up to the day I sold it, when it wouldn't crank for the buyer. I was in a bad bargaining position, but I wanted it gone. I've never missed it since.

This was actually a mower I found here in the craigslist forum, several years ago. Figure it will be neat some day for the boys to ride on. I still have it...have considered selling it, but it's so buried I would have to move 10 machines to get at it.

These are my other 2 tractors besides my simplicity. The red one is a 1968 Wheel Horse Commando 8. I use it to plow snow, It is my favorite tractor. The other one is a 1965 Bolens 800. It is my current project. I have Snowblowers, plow blades, and mower decks for both.

I traded the Deere for this Ingersol 3016PS, with 3pt and power steering. THIS was a slick rig. I'd be a Case/Ingy guy if it weren't for Simplicity

I never had issues before with pics but now when I click on the file...the pics shows as being downloaded but when it reaches 100% I get a prompt saying " No file found"!

I'd like to find a Wheel Horse "800 Special". That's the tractor I grew up on.

I had this a while - bought it right, not running. I got it fired up - had been sitting a while. Then I had an offer for the TracVac engine I couldn't refuse. So off it came. Then an offer for the engine in the tractor - so out it came. Then the steering, front wheels etc. It's mostly gone now. Still have the variator and some odds and ends. Good tractors, just not my favorite and it didn't mean anything to me other than a way to make some money.

This is one I've had a year or two now, and would like to keep...still has no spark though, and so I've never ridden it. Looks like fun though!Late 50's Wards Garden Mark Aristocrat (Porter Cable). Similar, later machines were made by MotoMower (Dura Corp) and are pretty popular. I have been able to find no info on it, or mention of another. She was a little dirty out of the barn, but is cleaned up and stored now. Any help finding a donor 143xxx Briggs or a coil would be greatly appreciated.

Josh, the coil for that should be 296834.

That number shows NLA, but if you can find any newer or older superceded numbers, I still have a couple NOS numbers.
