ultimatehick 0 Posted February 1, 2002 I have a 7116 that i jus reciently found and i was woundering if there is a 3 point hitch that would go on the back of my tractor. I was woundering because i was looking at 1 of those rear buckets and i could see no other way that it could lift. If anyone could tell me how the rear bucket lifts I would be happy. Kent 436 Posted February 2, 2002 There's an optional rear lift group that makes what you have into a "3-point" hitch, though it's nothing like the ones on farm tractors. Even the bigs ones (PowrMax) didn't come standard with a 3-point hitch, and the optional one for them is the smallest size (a Category "0") and not compatible with farm tractors.... The rear lift group for your Sovereign consists of an adapter, shown below, that mounts on the two uprights that hold your seat, and a cable (on your tractor) that runs up and mounts to the cross-shaft that the lift handle mounts to... These were dealer-installed options used with tillers and other rear attachments. There's also a "sleeve hitch" adapter that fits in the two bottom hitch points and allows you to use aftermarket rear attachments like those made by Brinly-Hardy or Agrifab... The rear lift group is still required for those aftermarket attachments that don't have wheels since it is what allows you to pick up the attachment. johnmonkey 4 Posted February 2, 2002 I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the lift group attached to; 1) the tractor and; 2) some of the implements that are available. Could the above lift group and attachments fit on a model 700/725 Simplicity? Thanks John H
MPH 12 Posted February 2, 2002 Yes, the rear lift will work on a 725. I'd bet on the 700 also but have never seen one, a 700. Haven't spend the the time to figure out a good photo drop yet since photo point went away so can't help you there..MPH
Kent 436 Posted February 2, 2002 As far as attachments go, look in the Simplicity section on Simple trACtors. There's two specific attachment catalogs listed, in addition to the ones you'll see in the tractor catalogs, by year. There's a similar "B Series Attachments" section in the Allis-Chalmers section.... Here's a picture of the rear lift group installed on my B-210's running gear. The only difference is that yours uses a cable to connect to the lift shaft and this B-210 uses a solid steel rod. The 700/725s used the same rear lift group setup, and most rear attachments are interchangeable. There's also a whole "What Fits" section that deals with this...[A href='http://www.simpletractors.com/images/var_hydro/dash_installed.jpg']http://www.simpletractors.com/images/var_hydro/dash_installed.jpg[/a]
