Johnrenk 40 Posted September 28, 2015 Trying to find specks for Skag mower hydraulic motors that turn the wheels. RPM HP, . Have a project in mind to run snow blower. Would I still need belting for proper RPM or would just the motor be sufficient?
BLT 718 Posted September 30, 2015 Here is a book from Eaton on hydraulic motors for starts. Keep in mind that snow blowing, like cutting grass, requires speed and HP, not low end torque. There would have to be a speed reduction of sorts between engine speed and fan speed. As an example, my single stage auger impeller spins roughly 600 rpm to 3600 rpm engine speed. http://www.eaton.com/ecm/groups/public/@pub/@eaton/@hyd/documents/content/pll_1346.pdf
Johnrenk 40 Posted October 1, 2015 Thank you for the information, printed material and will look it over. Have thought about the RPM of the wheel motors thanks for the RPM of your blower. Hoping I can find two stage will only have to think about the fan RPM. Project still on the table at this time I do have the hydraulic components, they were a free-bee
