Metal sources

Looking for good sources of angle, channel and tube steel for fabricating and seems like everyone has minimum orders and / or very expensive. Any ideas on the type of places best to deal with for new or used?

Any Amish in your area?

We have an Amish steel shop here, sells by the foot....

Prices might be considered a little high, but if you only need a few feet....

4' of angle iron, 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" by 3/16" was $10

Probably in the grand scheme of things actually cheap......

This place rocks...I order in the morning and puckup on my lunch hour. Ignore their online prices, which are much higher than the store on the Beltline.

I order all my steel from them now and have them precut and drill the larger holes I need, as long as I k ow my dimensions. Very reasonable and no minimums on anything.

My first visit I was treated to a shop tour by the owner, and they have about anything a fabricator could want. What they dont have, they can get in daily from their fistribution center.

Their drops are deeply discounted...

McMaster Carr is not terrible $$. Large selection, quick shipping, and the shipping is generally reasonable.

Wish I had a place like Josh's in Indy.
