Does anyone have the dimension of a lift rod for a 7117 with the extra bends for the twin? Hoping to make one.

Thanks,

Elliott

I think you are talking about the lift rod for front attachments like the snowthrower & plow. The rear lift uses a cable so the attachment (rototiller) floats.

Ok, thanks KendOdthis will be great!! But isn't there special bends that I will need to make to clear the twin cylinder engine bulging from the side?

Not sure if this would fit the bill? I am using a lift rod on my 4212G, which I purchased NOS(rod only)from the dealer for $10.(pipersville Garden Center) part#1665887it looks like this...(item "G")

I can get you the dimensions, and you can make a cardboard template to see if this profile works? If it does check the JJNemes (sponsor) site, they usually have rods in the used parts inventory.

Elliott,

The overall length (with bends(5) is 46-3/4")...

The active end = 2 set collars, compression spring, and a special end)

I'll try to get a photo of the whole assy.

I don't know if you got the pictures you need but here are a few. The top rod is for the 7000/700 and the bottom is for the 7100/900 Twin cylinder engines.

The offset to clear around the KT engine is 1-1/4"

I always wondered why my dozer blade lift rod had that goofy

bend in it! I ended up cutting out the bend section to have a

straight rod for my FDT.
