Buying a new Simplicity Prestige

Recommended Posts

Well a visit to my local dealer the other day to pickup a few parts for something else I'm working on turned into a major purchase. While there he told me he was placing an order for some 2016 Simplicity models. I told him about my interest in the Prestige with the suspension system. We joggled some numbers around and ended up having him add a new Prestige with 50 inch mower and 42" single stage snow thrower to the order., as he told me he just sold his last Prestige model. Tractor is currently on back order but will be fresh right from the factory. I'm still partial to the Allis 900 series and decided that I will keep my Deutz 914h as all of us on here know that these tractors are virtually bullet proof. I know there are a few members on here who own the Prestige, was wondering what you're thoughts are on them. Anyways, I walked out of the dealership and got into my truck and asked myself "What the heck did I just do?" Lol:D

After owning a Prestige for the past 13 years myself, I think you Will be very happy. Mine has been bullet proof and I prefer it over my 900 series.

I echo Ray...though I have far less seat time. Contrary to popular believe, they are not a maze of belts in the vertical shaft configuration, and do not appear to be an electrical nightmare like some Ive seen. They are built well, and attachment compatibility seems well thought out. The lift mechanisms, decks, tiller and single stage all are used in similar fashion to the Sovereigns, except they add the subframe to hep transfer power.
