Has anyone ever tried this

Kohler carb on Onan and if so results

It bolts right up,I'm in need of a carburator and all leads I've followed have been a deadend.

I'm sure it would run, and could be tuned to run decent. My concern would be governor linkage...

Yeah, some man named John gave it to me, many thanks. Whats your thoughts on this John? Reworking a carb not a problem but hook up on governor may be an issue. Planning on doing this to 620, it's been sitting in garage since I did the alt. swap. Here's where I've been on it past few months.

Seems each time I back it out it has a different issue

My grandfather was an engine guy and he was telling me the other day about running his Ford truck on a Kohler carb for the fun of it. No muscle car but got good mileage.

Has anyone got a kohler carb off a 20hp or more engine you would part with?

Might try a vertical Command V-twin carb. They are side draft and not as expensive as the horizontal carb's.
