Adding 16hp to landlord 2110

Recommended Posts

Blocks are basically identical. Oil fill is the only main issue, you can however use a 10 oil pan on the 16 if needed.

If your 16 has the short dipstick at the bottom of the block, no issue, if it has the tall one up near the jug, it may end up under the grill frame.

Wiring will be different if your 16 has electric start versus starter generator.

As far as space and mounting, it is a "bolt in" as long as the 16 came out of a Simp or A/C. (check flywheel for drive shaft mounting)

The notching is dependent on which variation of engine. The counterweights on the back(flywheel side) vs on the front(snowblower drive side). If they are on the front like the 12hp, the grille will need to be notched since it is a little longer forward. If it is back wieghted the difference is pretty minor.

Depending on the generation of the 16, you might not be able to utilize your dipstick. I removed and plugged the hole on mine since the stock oil pan is adequate and easy enough to access.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁

It's in pretty sad shape, but yes I have a yellow plastic cap that I'm fairly certain is what you need. PM me your details and I'll get it out to you.
