What is this for?

Got this with a spring trip blade for an Allis 300 series. Just glanced at it and thought it was the angle adjusting handle, but now I'm not sure. Anyone recognize this?

Doesn't look like anything pictured in the A/C 300/400 Blades manuals.

Looks like the bracket is made for a bolt on rotator on an early blower.
