Kohler magnum ignition module testing

I have searched on the site with no results. How can I check the ignition module for a Kohler Magnum 18 twin engine with a mulimeter to be sure it is ok before I put the tin onto the engine? Thanks.

If I recall , you should be able to spin engine over without the sheet metal to see if you have a spark.

Real easy take spark plug out

Hold spark plug wire end in one hand

And with other spin flywheel
