jsarro 5 Posted January 18, 2016 Could someone post a picture or explain how I install this exhaust snow shield? Thanks

jsarro 5 Posted January 18, 2016 OK, but how does the second piece get installed, the piece on the floor on the right? Or is that piece go to something else altogether? Extra parts? Thanks
jrmorrill 30 Posted January 18, 2016 That second piece looks like part of the engine shield. It wraps around the upper part of the block just below the head of the engine. I don't have a photo handy but I just installed on this evening on my old 1966 Landlord. Jason
jsarro 5 Posted January 18, 2016 Jason, Thanks, you are right it is off of a different tractor Briggs 10 HP. I found it with the exhaust heat shield, and was getting confused as to where it went.

jsarro 5 Posted January 19, 2016 Thanks Wayne. Yes, I figured that out with the clamp. I was getting confused because I had a heat shield off of a Briggs stored away with it. I thought the two pieces in the first picture went together somehow. What does this shield appreciably do for the tractor? Thanks
GLPointon 41 Posted January 22, 2016 The heat is reflected from the muffler to keep the Carb & linkages from icing up. Good Luck (My 7010 used to ice up...Then it revs way too high! the shield really helped)
