BillC 0 Posted February 11, 2002 During the winter, the hydro transmission pump makes considerable noise when cold on my 2000 Sovereign. Has anyone used Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF in a Sovereign or equivalent hydro transmission? The Mobil Brief Product Descriptions catalog states: "Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF provides unique advantages of outstanding low temperature properties for enhanced operability. Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is a superior DEXRON III and MERCON qualified product which meets or exceeds the requirements of Allison C-4, Denison HFO pump test, Vickers 35VQ25 vane pump test and Sundstrand piston pump tests". Roy 0 Posted February 11, 2002 I don't know but let me know how it works if you try it. I might want to put it in my new Sovereign. Roy

MPH 12 Posted February 12, 2002 Amsoil I believe sort of did the ground work on the syn oil development and thier dealers are often more versed on the subject then Joe blow in the auto parts store. Just thought it might be a source of info. My nearest dealer is 205 miles away..MPH
