Allis 912 Hydro down

Gave my Allis 912 to neighbor to do his lot , returned it down , tractor won't move , engine runs and all, when u left the back seat u see the drive axel spin but tractor won't move , I am positive he fried the gear box on the right side if not mistaking ,any one can confirm please

I'm no expert, but it sounds like a differential key. I believe they can fall out if the axle locking ring comes loose allowing the axle to move sideways.

Search for differential or axle tube repair to see what you're in for.

Hello;

Sounds like...a tore up keyway. Either the one locking the Differential to the axle tube, or inside the diff itself. Better than having to tear the rear end off and replace the axle tube assembly. Did that before and it's a lot of work. But it IS worth repair!

just waiting on a good day to take it apart and see what's going on , I got 3 complete hubs that I saved thru the years .
